GREAT NEWS! RADON TESTING IS EASY!

According to the EPA, every county in Wisconsin is at moderate to high risk of household radon exposure.  Radon is colorless and odorless and creates no symptoms until it’s already too late.  The only way to know the radon levels in your home is to test.

Radon testing is a simple!  Our radon testing and mitigation technicians perform in-home tests with little to no disruption to your daily life and our Radon testing devices meet EPA specifications and requirements.

Premier Radon Solutions uses a variety of monitors that are calibrated and verified for accuracy.  Our devices provide a more accurate result of the radon levels in your home than the charcoal canister test kits you may have read about.  When choosing a radon testing or mitigation company, be sure you choose one with highly trained technicians that follow a strict quality program regarding  testing procedures and independent calibration of their testing equipment.  Using Premier Radon Solutions you are contracting with the best in the industry!

RADON TESTING IS EASY!  When you schedule a test, one of our radon testing and mitigation technicians comes to your home and identifies the lowest living area in your house. For most homes in Wisconsin, this is the basement. Radon enters your home through cracks and openings in your basement floor, pulled in by the negative air pressure effect of your home.  Our technician will setup our small testing equipment and it will run for a minimum of 48 hours of monitoring.  Our technician will walk you through some basic instructions to follow during the 48 hour period!  That's it!  This simple and easy test could save your life or the life of your loved ones!  Once we collect the testing equipment we will be able to let you know the results immediately and inform you if any further action is needed based on your results.  The EPA action level for Radon is 4 picocuries per Liter (4.0 pCi/L).  If your radon level is at or near the EPA radon action level we will discuss the options to reduce your indoor radon to a safe level.  We offer basic radon mitigation systems as well as custom systems based on your needs.  Our staff will walk you through all the options so you can make the best choice for you and your family!

THE TEAM

Radon gas is a byproduct of the natural decay of uranium and then radium. These elements can be found naturally in certain types of rock, including granite, igneous, and limestone, as well as in soil and water.  Radon gas decays every 3 days and turns into a radioactive element called Polonium 218 which has been linked to an increased risk of lung cancer.

Radon is a dense, radioactive chemical element that exists mainly as a gas, a noble gas with the symbol Rn and atomic number 86. It is invisible, colorless, and odorless. Radon gas often accumulates in low-lying areas, such as basements, and exists in many homes, unknown to the house's occupants. Radon gas has been identified as a carcinogen, and has been linked to cases of lung cancer across the country.

RADON FAQ'S

Radon is colorless and odorless.  The only way to detect the levels of radon in your home is to test.  Call Premier Radon Solutions and one of our certified technicians can test your home.  Levels of radon of 4.0 or above are considered very concerning and should have a radon reduction system installed.  Levels of 2.0 or above are still considered potentially harmful and a radon reduction system should be considered.  Once your system is installed the radon level will be below 1.0
